At PABSS we are often contacted by parents/carers whose children are having issues at school. Whilst we are happy to support anyone with this we also believe parents/carers to be the experts in their children’s care. However, despite this, it can be difficult to advocate for your child’s rights in the school environment. Subsequently, an awareness of key policy and legislation can be extremely useful to help parents/ carers navigate their way through the various processes depending on your child’s specific needs and the school/ local authority’s responses to these needs.
